Portraits for Great Grandma & My Monthly Favorites

Thank goodness it's Friday! This has been one heck of a week. We are in the midst of selling our home... or I should say trying to sell, lol! And in one week we had around 12 showings!! That is one huge chore to try and keep your house show ready clean with 9 kiddos running around! I am just so worn out and ready to relax this weekend...... oh wait! Two more showings tomorrow and possibly a third. Please pray that our house sells soon and we get the piece of land we want and can start building again!

Surprisingly, homeschooling and photography were somewhat kept up this week despite all the busyness with home showings. I had a couple wonderful aritists I featured on the blog this week, If you haven't checked them out yet please go here and here now. These ladies are amazing and so inspiring! I had planned on also featuring a tutorial and a, What's In My Bag" post... but sadly I can't do it all, so today's post will just have to do. For the sake of blogging and SEO yadda, yadda.... I am sharing some portraits for Great Grandma and a few of my favorite photos so far from this month.

Hmmm.... This is getting me thinkin.... maybe I will start a weekly feature where I feature my favorite images of YOURS weekly or monthly!! Yeah that's a good idea!!

Anyway, here we go!!

1. Portraits for Great Grandma

My 3 boys ( clock wise from top) Charlie, Joel and Gabriel. Their Great Grandma Fryer wanted a portrait of all of my kids... so I have been working on this all month. I have to get them in groups, lol!

I think that this has to be my favorite image so far this month. I have not shot at dark yet and this little gir really wanted me to take her picture so of course I had to oblige, even if it was dark out and I am so happy that I did.

While out geocaching with the family one evening, we had to explore! I was really happy to capture this because it just felt so timeless to me.

My first attempt at using slow shutter speed to convey movement and I am happily surprised with it. The kids of course welcomed the idea of getting to jump on mom and dad's bed, lol!

This one just melts my heart because of the connection. I love it when big sis takes an active part in the little ones' lives and sits down for one on one time. Here, Lauren was showing pictures to our little Eleanor... she was very interested, it was so cute! I am also a sucker for creative crops and detail captures!

Bath time is always fun and I just thought it was such a fun capture to get these water droplets in action!
