What got you started in photography?

When I was younger I always had the good old disposable cameras ready to go in my bag (brought them to school). Then after high school i decided to begin my journey of working abroad. This is when my parent bout me my first camera. It was from this point I fell in love. At first it was landscapes and my travels, but i was working as a nanny and the parents loved the pictures I captured of their children. SO this is where my love of photographing children began. Now I have two of my own and they are photographed almost daily.

What three words describe your photographic style?

Authentic, Moody, Classic

What’s your favorite compositional technique?

I always found myself centre composing, so this is an area i have worked hard on. I like so many perspectives and compositions but I tend to love different compositions from “the mommy view” me standing above my subject.

Tell me a bit about your biz! Are you only personal work, or a mix of personal and client?

I do a lot of personal and my Instagram page is flooded with it. But I do newborn, child & family mostly with the odd wedding thrown in there.

How would you describe your ultimate dream shoot or personal project?

Anything in golden hour with flowing hair and sun kissed faces.

What advice would you give to someone wanting to get started in photography?

Find what you love and photograph it!

If you weren’t a photographer, what would you be?

Well I went to University and got my self a degree… maybe I would have done something with that.

LR or PS?

A little of both but mostly Lightroom.

Any favorite presets?

I hand edit every photo except some of my black and whites for these I use Ana Rosenberg’s presets they are amazing.

Photographer/photographers who has influenced you the most?

If you follow me on Instagram just look to see who Im following there… Every single person inspires me with their work. But if Im going to name names… The very talented Julia Crim, Meg Loeks, Laura Wood, Emma Wood, Caroline Jensen and the list goes on and on and on...

List any articles you have written, contests you've won etc... brag about your self!! can I get the links?

Well I mentioned how I placed 33rd in the Child category for Shoot & Share. I have been featured in a few blogs like Twyla Jones (another inspiring photographer) and on the Unraveled blog. My biggest goal achieved this year was being accepted as a Click Pro for the amazing Clickin Moms. I hope to get more involved and one day make my own breakout.
